Now we are taking things a step further again – by engaging a top scientist as our patient care manager – please welcome our Dr. Matthias Held!

You may wonder why we chose a scientist for this incredibly important position – not exactly a conventional choice, right?

Well, let’s start at the beginning:

1) In year one we focused on collecting all treatments that were showing results for our patient population in one location here in Larnaca (and sorted those that didn’t work out again). More Info on that you find here

2) In year two we focused on diagnostics – all the research lab tests that did show different results in our patient population (unlike the results from most clinical laboratories). More Info on that you find here

3) In year three we focused on improving our treatment schedule algorithms. More Info on that you find here

4) And now? We are focusing on the patient experience and journey. And you guessed right – for that you need an expert. But a scientist – really? 

حقًا! درس الدكتور ماتياس هيلد لما يقرب من عقدين من الزمن كيفية تحسين جمع المعرفة وتعظيمها مع التركيز على قابلية الاستخدام الفعلي لتلك المعرفة ذاتها. وهو حاصل على درجة الدكتوراه في البحث العلمي من جامعة برلين التقنية.

من خلال شغل منصب مزدوج كرئيس قسم العلوم ومدير رعاية المرضى (وهو مزيج غير مألوف للغاية، أليس كذلك؟) لا يمكن أن يكون أكثر اختلافاً في كلتا الحالتين، فهو يحاول تحقيق الاستفادة من أوجه التآزر بين العالمين لصالح مرضانا.

وبصفته مديراً لرعاية المرضى فهو يحاول أن يفهم تماماً التعقيدات الهائلة التي ينطوي عليها التنقل في العلاج السريري كشخص مصاب بمرض مزمن (وبصفته مصاباً سابقاً بالمرض فهو يتمتع أيضاً برؤية مختلفة جداً لتحسين هذا النهج أكثر من شخص لا يملك خبرة شخصية).

لن يستخدم هذه المعرفة في تصميم رحلة المريض وتجربة المريض المثالية في عيادتنا فحسب، بل سيستخدمها لاحقًا في تصميم دراسات جديدة تعتمد على الذكاء الاصطناعي والتتبع الحيوي حول علاجاتنا ومختلف الأمراض المزمنة التي يتم علاجها بها.

And with every little bit of your worries, hopes and insights he not only learns about your case, of which you will benefit – but science gathers and incorporates that knowledge too.
